These precious little ladies came to my studio just after Thanksgiving for their very first portrait session! Their sweet grandma helped in the studio while Mom & big sister had their hair and makeup done. We went outside for a few family portraits, then came back inside for some adorable little photos in mermaid outfits that Mom & Dad had brought from home. It just makes you want to squeal when you see these girls snuggle together!
To round out the session, we wrapped up the girls and got them all nestled in for our concept shot– Mom is Guatamelan, Dad is Canadian. We wanted to create one photo setup to highlight this heritage! We chose a brightly colored hand-woven shawl to represent the beautiful Mayan textiles from Guatamela, as well as white orchids, the country’s official flower. For Canada, we incorporated a cute little stuffed moose, some pine boughs, and maple leaves.
